Is Marketcube GDPR compliant?

Marketcube fully complies with The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and this article summaries the steps we've taken to ensure maximum safety and protection of your data.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in European law on data protection and privacy for all European Union individuals. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU.Your marketplace should be GDPR-compliant if you have vendors or customers in the European Union and/or the UK.
The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU. This regulation became enforceable on 25/05/2018.

Marketcube is fully GDPR-compliant. We have renewed our terms of service and privacy policy to reflect necessary changes and offer a separate Data Protection Agreement (DPA) so that you, as the marketplace operator, have a clear contract stating that your service provider (Marketcube) is compliant with the GDPR practices.

We also ensure all third-party service providers we use to offer you the services are GDPR-compliant. That ensures that all the links in the chain follow the GDPR regulations and that proper measures for user data security are taken.

To ensure safe storage of your data we use Amazon Web Service (AWS) cloud hosting. The data is stored in a database where the access is limited to the Marketcube employees who need it for work. Critical or sensitive information, e.g. user passwords, is stored in an encrypted format. Credit card details are not stored on our servers at all, only at the payment provider services that specialise in payment data handling.

We maintain a clear set of data processing flows with respective owners and regularly monitor all activity.

For further information on how Marketcube stores and handles your data please refer to:
