How to manage the product approval and review settings?
In this article, you will learn about what product approval and review settings are and how to update/set them up in Marketcube.
In Marketcube, An operator can control the visibility of the product changes which his vendors are making in their products on the front end store. The operator can either approve all or selective changes and can also auto-approve all the changes using the product approval and review settings.
Before the approval of the changes, the operator can set and review all and selective changes which the vendors are making.
Operators can have full control over the changes which the vendors make in their products and approve only those changes which they want to show to the end customer and reject the changes which they do not want to show on their front-end store.
Marketcube allows the operator to update/change the product approval and review settings, There are three ways to use these settings.
- Review all changes (You will review all the changes done by your vendors)
- Review all changes except price and quantity updates (You will review all the changes done by your vendors except price and quantity related changes)
- Auto-approve all changes (All changes made by your vendor will be auto-approved, including price and quantity)
Steps to setup the approval and review settings:
1. Login to your Operator account >> Click the Settings Icon.
2. Go to Products >> Click on Product Approval and Reviews.
3. Under Product Approval and Reviews you will see the below Three options. Select one of the options (as shown below).
- Review all changes (You will review all the changes done by your vendors)
- Review all changes except price and quantity updates (You will review all the changes done by your vendors except price and quantity related changes)
- Auto-approve all changes (All changes made by your vendor will be auto-approved, including price and quantity)
Let's see an example.
Here is a published product whose description has been changed by the vendor.

In case if the operator has set the product approval and review settings as 'Review all changes' then any changes including the above description update will change the status of the product (with a yellow label that reads "Needs Review") and move it to the Need Review Category.
Once the operator review, accept and publish the changes and those changes will reflect on his front-end store. In case if the operator will reject the changes then those changes will not reflect on the front-end store.
Steps to review the changes:
Step 1. Go to the Products section and Click on More Filters.
Step 2. Click on Filter by Status and Select the Status ( Review).
In case of setting up the settings of product approval as "Review all changes except price and quantity updates" (You will review all the changes done by your vendors except price and quantity related changes)
In these settings, if the vendor will make any change in the products except quantity and price from their Marketcube account then the status of the product will change as Need Review where the operator will require to review the changes the vendor has made from his Marketcube account and approve/reject or publish them on his store by following the steps mentioned above.
In case of setting up the product settings as "Auto-approve all changes" (All changes done by your vendor will be auto-approved)
In this setting, all the changes which the vendor will make in his products from his Marketcube account will automatically sync to the operator’s Marketcube and Shopify account, Approve Automatically, and reflect on the front-end store of the operator.
