How to export products in CSV/PDF

In this article, we will see product export as a bulk export in CSV and PDF format, from Operator as well as vendor end. 

Marketcube's product export feature allows you to export a list of your all products to a single CSV or PDF file. The Operator can export all of their products in a single go, to have complete product data in a single file.

You can also manage the product export by replacing the current values with the new values or hiding the not-required columns in the CSV or PDF.

What is a CSV file?

CSV stands for comma-separated values, a file format (.csv) for spreadsheets. You can use CSV files to import and export products, customers, orders (export only), and discounts (export only). They can be useful in many situations, such as switching to Marketcube from another marketplace platform or uploading products by using a spreadsheet.CSV files might seem intimidating at first, but after you understand their format and how they work, you might decide to use them for a variety of tasks.

Products are an indispensable part of a marketplace. One of the ways to add a product is by using the product CSV. Operators and vendors both can add the products using a form that contains sections like product title, description, variants, price, etc. but one by one. This is a long and tedious process. To overcome the same and save some time & effort we came with a solution known as bulk upload products using CSV. 

What is a PDF file?

PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format that has captured all the elements of a printed document as an electronic image that you can view, navigate, print, or forward to someone else.

PDF, or Portable Document Format, is an open file format used for exchanging electronic documents. Documents, forms, images, and web pages encoded in PDF can be correctly displayed on any device, including smartphones and tablets.

How to manage column headers and status for CV/PDF download file as an operator:

1. Log into your Marketcube account >> Click on the Settings button.

2. On the settings page >> Click on Products.

3. On products >> Click on Manage Product Export.

5. Add the new labels ( if required) in the textbox provided or hide the columns ( completely or partially) that you do not want to see in the exported   CSV or PDF by selecting the checkboxes >> Click Update

How to generate a Product Export as an operator:

1. Log into your Marketcube account >> Click on the Product tab >> and then on Export Products.

2. Once clicked Export Products >> Export All Products >> Generate.

3. Once clicked on Generate >> Select format (CSV or PDF) 

4. In the case of Export Selected Products >> Choose Vendor or Status or "Both" >> Generate.

Once clicked on "Generate" >> Select format (CSV or PDF)

1. Log into your Marketcube account >> Click on the Product tab >> and then on Export Products.

2. Once clicked Export Products >> Export All Products >> Generate.

3. Once clicked on Generate >> Select format (CSV or PDF) 

4. In the case of Export Selected Products >> Status >> Generate.

5. Once clicked on "Generate" >> Select format (CSV or PDF)

Note:- Select Date Range will consider only the calendar dates, of joining of vendor or operator and the end date is the present-day date.
